I was fortunate to have ProgressIQ to manage my performance from the first day of medical school. By offering a streamlined, centralized portal for all of our exams, ProgressIQ allowed me to track improvements over time, pinpoint areas for improvement, and minimize anxiety along the way. By using the ProgressIQ interface, I noticed that my recent performance in a Musculoskeletal/Dermatology course could use improvement, so I devoted extra hours to the course to earn a great score on my final exam.

Additionally, the ProgressIQ Student Snapshot came in handy for meetings with faculty and academic advisors, who were able to quickly see my classroom performance and provide substantive feedback. During busy clerkships in hospitals and clinics during my third year, I was able to easily access the Student Snapshot from my tablet or mobile device, an essential feature for busy medical students in their clinical years. Now as a current fourth year, I can easily look back on the progress I have made since the first year of medical school, which gives me a tremendous sense of self-confidence and accomplishment. I owe my success in medical school to a wonderful support system and academic program, but also to educational platforms like ProgressIQ that make it easy for medical students to complete our training and become the best physicians possible.

Progress IQ has been an integral part of my medical school journey. Not only does it consolidate my scores for the current year, but it also includes every exam and assignment score from my first year of medical school. Knowing how my academic performance has varied throughout the past two years and in each organ system will help me tremendously when it comes time to study for our Step 1 Board Exam. I can accurately pinpoint which course blocks I struggled in the most which will help me target the areas for greatest improvement.

As someone who has failed a medical school exam, I found the ProgressIQ alert feature to be especially beneficial. I received an email stating I had scored below a 70% on a midterm exam, and they simultaneously sent an email to my academic advisor. Within a day, my advisor had reached out to schedule a time to meet and create a plan to help me succeed on the next exam. As a result, I was able to score much higher on the final and pass the block. Without ProgressIQ, I would not have been able to make an immediate change. I am beyond grateful for this platform, and I cannot wait to continue benefitting from it for my third and fourth year of medical school!

I can’t imagine medical school without ProgressIQ. Without a doubt, this platform plays a direct role in helping me become the best physician I can be. My school utilized ProgressIQ to track our scores in every assessment, and to keep track of our various membership identification numbers (NBOME, NBME, AOA, etc.). I got the full picture of how I was doing in each of my classes and how I ranked in comparison to the rest of my class. It is fantastic to have all the information I needed in one place.

The one feature that played the biggest part in allowing me to perform well on my medical licensing exams was the longitudinal reports feature. Our school uploaded a comprehensive report that showed how we performed in each specific subject, how many questions were asked about each subject, and our average score. The radar graph displayed a visual of my weakest subjects and revealed a large dip in the embryology section. So I spent extra time studying embryology prior to my licensing exams which helped improve my score immensely. I said a little “thank you” to ProgressIQ in my head on test day. Now that I am doing clerkships, ProgressIQ conveniently lists what clerkship I am currently in, have already completed, and how my preceptor evaluated me for each one. ProgressIQ is truly the key to my success!

At the end of my second year of medical school news of the pandemic broke out and sent shockwaves through the world. With so much fear, change and unknown, organization became of the utmost importance.

I am grateful to be able to continue my medical education through a time of massive change and have been hugely assisted by ProgressIQ. Things have been in a state of constant flux but the ability to keep track of all the important dates, scores and notes has been incredibly helpful for me. I use it daily to make sure that I am meeting important deadlines and achieving my academic goals. It is also another avenue that allows me to collaborate with faculty remotely and allow the flexibility that I can check in on ProgressIQ at whatever time is convenient for me. It has truly allowed me to stay on track through this year and I know it will assist others with the same.

ProgressIQ has made a great impact on my mental health and academic success. Before medical school, I used Excel spreadsheets to track my performance across quizzes, exams and assignments from different classes. This usually took hours of data-hunting and could often become overwhelming. However, my school now uses ProgressIQ to report grades, and this software has been a game changer! It shows all of my exam scores on one page, with comparisons to class averages, standard deviations, and even the exact number of students who got a particular score. This trove of useful data saves me so much time and reduces my anxiety about how well I am really doing in class.

Not only does ProgressIQ report my current scores, it also provides easy access to both past and future grades. As I progress in my medical education, ProgressIQ will build a complete profile of my academic trajectory, all neatly contained within the Snapshot dashboard. This is an invaluable tool that has made my hectic student life so much easier! ProgressIQ has been and will continue to be a big part of my academic success.

Graduating on time is a high priority for me, my family, and my academic advisor. Thankfully, there is ProgressIQ to help me complete this goal! ProgressIQ sends alerts to my advisor and me and creates an opportunity for me to meet with my advisor in a one-on-one session. During the meeting, I can discuss with my advisor about my plan for improvement for the next assessment. This notification system keeps me accountable for my performance, and it allows my advisor to intervene before it is too late to save me from having to remediate a course and consequently delaying my graduation time.

What I love most about ProgressIQ is its ease of access and responsiveness. I am able to review real-time results from my cell phone, tablet, or any device with a network connection. This is my third year using ProgressIQ, and I have never experienced frustration from lags in the system while using this platform. Now that I am in clinic and treating patients, ProgressIQ helps track the numbers and types of procedure I have completed. It also tracks whether the procedures were completed off-site or at the school’s dental center. This data is invaluable in allowing me to communicate with my managing partner which procedures I feel competent doing and which procedures I would like to have more practice with. I am truly thankful for this incredible software!
